We often get messages like these:
i need a template for a performance evaluation acc. IVDR
May I have a model post market serveilance plan for Product Dental dam?
I need basic Udi-Di
Note the typos and the general low-effort spirit of those messages. To say that these are infuriating is probably an understatement.
Some quick background: We publish as much content for free as humanly possible while still being able to pay our salaries. That means that we've published our
MDR templates,
ISO 13485 templates,
IEC 62304 templates,
ISO 14971 templates,
IEC 62366 templates and
GDPR data privacy templates. All for free, no strings attached! As PDF, Word, Markdown and HTML files.
Now imagine you are me. You could sell all these templates instead and retire in Thailand, sipping cocktails at the beach.
Or, you spend nights, weekends and your employee's paid time on creating tons of content because you believe in the mission of helping startups, because helping startups might spur some much-needed innovation in our currently very un-innovative Healthcare system.
And then someone comes along and say:

This is like opening a soup kitchen to offer food for people in need, and then someone drives up in their Mercedes and blurts out "i need an Italian gourmet menu".
Some people just don't get it.
The answer is no.
My usual reply was something along the lines of "you could pay us to draft it at 220€ / hr, and then we'll publish it, too", but unsurprisingly no one was interested in that. Or, you know, they could draft it themselves and send it to us to publish on OpenRegulatory, but that also hasn't happened.
Some just don't get it. I'll no longer reply to them.
