I would not recommend TÜV Rheinland as a NB. The overall process is very very slow and the audit date has been rescheduled several times. The technical documentation auditor is not pragmatic. Feedback sessions with the auditor have been very frustrating because every question was answered with "I am not allowed to consult you". The auditor exceeded every deadline.

I'd probably have checked another option regarding the question, if I'd choose them again, if there would be the actual possibility of "choosing" a different NB at the moment, so I guess, I'll just stick with them...

Additional Comments (Duration/Cost): Although overall costs are somewhat reasonable (as compared with some other figures in this list), some billing positions are quite ridiculous, such as a 120 Euro travel expense reimbursement for an actual travel within range of a 2,80 Euro public transport ticket

QMS audit and certification worked well. Technical Documentation is still pending for several months without any clear communication or time commitment from the auditor.

if you are a long term customer and have a good relationship with the notified body, the cooperation can be uncomplicated. for new companies it is much more difficult i've heard and read.
